How Many Treatments Are Needed?
Most patients will require between two and four Kybella treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However, this depends on the area being targeted and the amount of fat loss desired.
What Should I Expect During Treatment?
Treatments take approximately 10-15 minutes. The under-chin area is usually numbed only with an ice pack, and then a dot grid will be applied to the area to help guide Dr. Green. She will then administer the injections.
What Should I Expect After The Treatment?
There can be some swelling, tenderness, numbness, and slight bruising but these side effects usually resolve within one to two weeks. Cold compresses and ice packs may be recommended during your Kybella recovery, along with Motrin or over the counter NSAIDs for pain relief.
