How it Works
A PDO Thread Lift utilizes special PDO threads that are fully absorbable suture material made of polydioxanone, which has been used in cardiothoracic surgery and wound closure for over 20 years. They are among the safest materials to be administered into the body. This is generally a fast, safe, and minimally invasive treatment alternative to traditional surgical facelift procedures and does not require general anesthesia or large incisions.
During a PDO Thread Lift procedure, the threads are gently injected into the subdermal layer of the skin. The threads have tiny structures that “grab” onto and pull up the underside of the skin, helping to lift, tighten, and contour loose or sagging skin.

What can I expect before treatment?
Prior to treatment Dr. Green will apply a topical numbing agent and local anesthetic to the treatment site. The needle used during this treatment is so fine it will not cause minimal or no pain. However, we provide anesthesia to ensure you feel no discomfort during the treatment.

When will I see results?
The results of a PDO Thread Lift can be seen immediately. Additionally, because the procedure triggers the skin’s natural healing process, you’ll continue to see improvement as new collagen is produced during the ensuing 3 to 4 months. The results of a Thread Lift may last up to a year.

How long does the procedure take?
A PDO Thread Lift takes approximately 15 to 45 minutes to perform, depending on the treated area and individual patient needs. It’s often called a “lunchtime” procedure, because it can be scheduled and done on a lunch break!
