Botox, Xeomin, Dysport

A Little Magic in a Bottle

How it Works

This simple, non-surgical cosmetic treatment involves a series of tiny injections that minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and gives you that smoother, softer, rejuvenated look you're after! Botox, Xeomin and Dysport all work by relaxing the facial muscles that causes age lines to form.

Questions?

Is there a difference between Botox, Xeomin and Dysport?

All are different types of injectable neurotoxins, and all are FDA-approved and considered safe to treat the appearance of wrinkles in the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet and more. However, the manufacturing process of these three neurotoxins are unique to each product, which lends itself to some subtle differences.

During your consultation, Dr. Green will review your medical history, discuss your concerns and recommend which neurotoxin is right for you.

Am I too young to start injections?

Preventative treatment or “Prejuvenation” uses Botox to treat wrinkles before they emerge. Dr. Green can strategically inject a small amount of Botox to target fine lines before they get deeper and develop into wrinkles. This is why many patients start Botox injections as young as their mid 20’s and 30’s.

How long does the procedure take?

The actual procedure takes less than 15 minutes. With the use of cold compresses, the procedure is very well-tolerated. You should be able to go back to work or routine activity right after the procedure.

When can I expect to see results?

Most patients notice a difference anywhere between three days to a little more than a week. Each day, the effect will be stronger.

What do I need to know before my procedure?

Patients can minimize the risk of bruising by avoiding the following supplements for at least 3 days before the treatment: Aspirin, NSAIDs (including Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve), Vitamin E, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Ginseng, Ginger, Gingko Biloba, Green Tea, and Alcohol.

What do I need to know after my procedure?

No lying down for 4 hours; no exercise or working out for 24 hours; no facials for 1 week.

Will I look frozen or expressionless?

The answer is no. When done well, no one will even know that you’ve had any injections.

Are there any side effects?

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin all have been shown to be very safe when injected by experienced hands. Minor side effects include headache and slight bruising and swelling at the injection site. Asymmetry or a drooping eyelid indicates that the neuromodulator migrated into surrounding muscles. This side effect may take several weeks to improve as the Botox gradually wears off.
