Medical Microneedling with Exosomes

A Little Treatment with Big Results

How it Works

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a non-invasive procedure designed to stimulate your body’s natural ability to generate collagen, elastin and other building blocks of healthy skin. By creating controlled micro injuries at very specific depths in the skin, microneedling jump-starts your body’s natural healing process, allowing your skin to gain strength and look younger and healthier.

At Glowtology, our treatment is supercharged with an Exosome serum that unlocks your cells and allows the influx of vitamins, minerals, stem cells, growth factors, peptides and more! This leads to faster healing after microneedling PLUS even more stimulation and regeneration of your body’s own collagen and elastin.

Questions?

What are exosomes?

Exosomes are responsible for cell-to-cell communication and for facilitating the exchange of RNA and other important proteins between cells (e.g., fibroblasts, keratinocytes, immune cells, etc.).  In addition to transferring numerous growth factors and cytokines, exosomes carry genetic materials that have shown signs of tissue repair and improving skin at a cellular level. These exosomes can be harnessed to promote a more radiant youthful appearance.

Is microneedling effective?

Microneedling is a standard treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and stretch marks. It is also a vehicle to help topical treatments penetrate and be absorbed by the skin.

Microneedling is also used to encourage hair growth by stimulating dormant hair follicles by improving circulation around the follicle.

How long before I can expect to see results?

The production of new collagen can take several weeks; however, you may notice an improvement in the quality and appearance of your skin within the first 24 hours. After 2-3 treatments a thicker, more robust, collagen filled cellular matrix will produce more consistent and noticeable improvement.

Does microneedling hurt?

A topical numbing cream will be applied to your skin before treatment, so you will likely experience little to no discomfort, although some areas of your skin will be more sensitive than others.

How many treatments will I need?

Some patients only require a single microneedling treatment, and a once per year maintenance treatment to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 4-6 sessions at 6-week intervals.

Is there any downtime?

Microneedling treatments require no downtime. After treatment, you may experience skin redness or minor swelling. These symptoms are usually minor and pass within a day or two.
